This is the story of back and forth, one exists only with the other. Always changing shape. One step back, then another. Further. As far as it can go. Breathe it in. And out. Back and forth, the Pendulum swings forward.
Directed by Bijan Berahimi and Tyler Ashlock
Late this winter, FISK Director Bijan Berahimi collaborated with Tyler Ashlock of Swanson Studio to produce an art film, Pendulum.
The film is a glimpse into the enduring nature of the creative process through the lens of basketball. The premise was conceived by Berahimi, photographed by Ashlock, and ultimately showcased during Swanson’s 20/2 event.
I've been here before. Back and forth. That's how this works. Working and playing and working and being here. I've tried to count the hours. This place is so familiar But every step is unknown. It's scary and happy at the same time. Sometimes there are others. Allies and opponents and always myself. We go back and forth. I lift them. They lift me. It's worth it. This weight. This support. We use it to become something new. Looking down, while looking up. It’s always those two things. Back and forth. Freely. It's my place. I choose to be here. Otherwise I would walk away.
